Abuse and rape? is this heard of??

i was abused as achild (age 9-14) by a boy in my year. i was also raped in a non violent way (different person). is this heard of? i feel so alone as i havent heard of cases of children or anyone being abused by someone thier age. i have also not heard of instances of non violent rape (other than date rape) and i just want to know if there are others out there like me so i dont feel so alone.

You are not alone, my son was done the same way by a kid in our neighborhood and was told not to tell anyone or he would kill him-he even told my son that he would kill his family. This had gone on for awile before i even knew it. my son went through year of therapy. I always reminded him that this was not his fault that some people are sick in their minds to do stuff like this and need some help. my son was 6 or 7 when this happened and the kid who did that to him was 9. my son is now 15 and the boy died a month ago. my son said that he feels safe now and i can tell that he is less stressed. i hate that anyone dies but i feel that this boy dying gave my sons life back to him because he doesnt act trapped inside anymore. i hope that things get better for you and always keep you head up and be stronge. you are not alone there is someone always there for you and he is with us everyday. he will help you through this.

This is very heard of, you are definitely not alone. Often times if someone has been in one abuse case, they will suffer from another whether it be physical, emotional, etc. I am in college and I have heard of date rape a lot. I have heard of girls who get completely drunk and black out and get raped... even though some guys don't see that as rape it is. I just want you to know you are NOT alone. There are so many girls out there that have been in your shoes. I recommend getting some help or joining a support group (maybe not what you want to hear) but my friend did that and she is so much better now. I hope things work out for you!

there are others like you, I am one of them! i was abused when i was 12 by an older man. It is still hard to this day to deal with but i realised all things happen for a reason. It has made me a much wiser women now. The best thing to do is try to deal with it if you feel you need to talk to someone get a councillor or do it by your self (i found this the best way for me because no one could understand how i felt), once you have come to terms with it then i promise you will be happier and much stronger person. It still hurts every now and then but then i think of what person i have become and feel better. hope this helps. Good Luck
