Rape or Not?

I went to the gyno and when I was there, the doctor stuck a couple fingers into my vagina. He saw that I was uneasy so he told me to relax. He pumped them in and out a few times, then patted me on the tummy. At first I was uneasy, and then I relaxed and started to enjoy it. Then he told me I was in "good working order." Then he winked. Was that rape, or just part of the procedure?

hard to say but I don't think the pumping was necessary unless you had a problem with lining, get a new doc this one might be a little unethical!

um i dont think thats normal. tell someone.

Not rape, but not a very sensitive doctor either. Choose another one who doesn't do creepy things like wink.

it wasn't rape but not protocol =was a nurse in the room too?= if not ,look for another Dr =this one is capable of other things too

there's supposed to be a nurse or another doctor present at all times, what was their response?

That is very gross, I think you should report him!!!

That was part of the procedure - sounds like you are reading things into it.

not rape (rape is where someone has sex with you without ur permission but he did sexually abuse you. you need to report him straight away.

he shud have had a female nurse with you to make sure no ill praactise came in but it did and he took advantage.

im sorry this happened to you but u MUST report him as he probably does it to lots of women.

did he have gloves on did he explain what he was doing, he shudnt have patted ur tummy or winked at you, he wasnt carryin out a procedure he was touchin you wrongly, he had no one with him....this was serious sexual abuse and he must be dealt with pelase tell someone for your sake and the other patients!!!!!!

how old are you.. well dear it is not rape.. i don't know what you think rape is but that not it.. and next time just say stop.. not granted i not a woman but i know if my wife came and told me this i not like it but then she would have handle it her self and not bother me about something so small but i can tell you that not rape..

no!!!!!!!!!1 anything that makes you uncomfortable is a no no no. Someone should have witnessed like a nurse. my gyno's a woman and she always does and internal with aanother person present (nurse). I went to a male doctor after i miscarried and he ahd a witness but didn;t use gloves and touched me very gentley and slowly. It creeped me out- why would you touch a woman and not use gloves. But my sis is a nurse and sai dthey don't have to if its not interal.

no its part of the procedure but still a little unethical and kinda creepy i would suggest u find a different gyno although most guy gynos are kinda creepy like mine he likes to talk while hes checking stuff out which is just weird

You started to enjoy it? Quit playing with a serious subject. For those who may have honestly felt violated at a doctor's always remember that, whether the gyno is male or female, a nurse is SUPPOSED to be in the office as well. If you find yourself in the office and are wondering when is the nurse going to come, just ask the doctor..."Where's the nurse?" They have to hand the doctor all of the different instruments and are supposed to be there for the woman's safety.

I think you could be getting very rich soon..call a lawyer.......

Could it be rape, yes. Most states now consider insertion of any body part into a vagina as rape. Now since he's a gynocologist it could be hard to prove. Now it is technically assault and battery. Assault is infliction of emotional stress before the event, battery is the touching of your person. If you dont believe me, look it up.

The fact that you're even on here asking that question means that you felt like it was rape, or sexual harrassment or something.

I tell you something though, that gyno isn't in his line of work for "the well-being of women, coast to coast".

You should DEFINATLY put this into higher hands.

The wink and the tummy pat was just an UN-NECESSARY addition to the thrusting.

well it certainly wasn't rape he would of had his penis inside you but he never u are reading to much into it making accusations like that can get a man fired.

its only rape if he used his penis and if its was against your will

Chelsea. Read dolphins answer. She sounds like she might be his wife. This is definitely rape. The girls that said this is normal, are very nieve. The problem is it's very hard to proof because it's his word against your's.You gave him permission to go down there. This is why a nurse should be present. Just be careful next time.

you need a bit more details before anyone else can answer this question. was there a nurse present? was he wearing gloves? are you explaining this EXACTLY as it happened? "pumping" could mean something different to different people. my gynos move their fingers around inside you to feel your cervix, ovaries and such during an internal exam. did he "pat" your stomach, or was he feeling it? my gyno also pushes and feels on my tummy to feel the placement and size of my uterus during these exams. there should ALWAYS be a nurse present in the room during an internal exam. no questions asked. "good working order" could just simply mean youre healthy, and he didnt find anything during your exam abnormal or anything. depending if youre explaining word for word exactly what he did or using different terms, it could just be the procedure; but if its really what he did; thats not normal, and please report him. yes, accusations and using different terms CAN get an innocent man fired, so please choose your words carefully. from what i would understand, it was not rape; but it would be sexual abuse.

I have never heard of something like that being procedure. I didn't think that pumping his fingers in and out of you was part of the procedure. Sounds more like some kind of sexual abuse. If it happened exactly how you are saying it it, then you need to report him and find another doctor.

well for how long was he doing that?!hah. And no idontthink it was a rape,u said u enjoyed it.A rape isnt enjoyable.

no it wasne rape, b/c that would need a penis included, but that was totally innaporpriate of him, he needs to be professional, try a female gyno next time

yeah it's RAPE....hahah

the doctor is devil *___^
