Jail/ Rape talk real example tough love or abuse you decide?

Heres what my dad really said-- You know you have a criminal mind and when you get to jail theres no safety. And you know youre young those guys will like you more and there will be rape. You know theres aids in prison its rampant. There gonna hold you down and take turns too.

I gave you a verbal statement you decide if its good parenting or abuse.

First, why did he say you have a criminal mind?
That statement worries me far more than the rest of it does.
Does he have evidence that you have a crook mentality.
If you have done nothing to merrit that remark, then, that was abusive,and he should not label you a criminal.
But if you have been in a lot of trouble with the law, he is using tough love to save you from the horror you will endure if you are doing unlawful things.
You decide.

no it is not abuse... He is using tough love on you! I am a parent and see why he did that.. it probably is because he is fearful that you could do something criminal, and this is what happens in jail. It really does too, so he was not lying to you. It is a scare tactic. He thinks that if he scares you like that you won't do anything criminal.

that mostly take place in prisons not co. jails. the hiv and aids are in those prisons, but the hiv/ aids people are in a cell or floor (better be anyway ) all together to prevent spreading. yes they are responsible for a young /old man going in to prison and coming out with aids. they can call a shake down and make all inmates get checked for aids.

Oh your poor Dad. worrying about his son that he loves dearly. He's trying to be honest with you and give you some sound advice cause he must be seeing a reason that your behaviour is not good . He wants to save you from misery.
