Are these symptoms of rape??

please help,
i've been acting usually strange, not my normal self lately. i'm thinking that i could have been raped (when i was younger). maybe i was traumatized and now i'm realizing it..
But at the same time, I don't want to put an idea into my head when it's not even true...

here are my "symptoms"
-difficulty falling asleep
-had 2 nightmares that were really disturbing involving being violated...really disturbing..
-withdrawal from friendships,
-being a hermit
-not wanting to talk
-really painful cramps
-keeping to myself
-being avoidant

please help. i'm really confused and scared.
what are some signs of rape?

more "symptoms" i am expressing:
-low selfesteem
-no selfworth
-emptiness
-difficulty interacting and socializing with others

there are no "symptoms" of rape. either you remember it, or you don't.

I think you should talk to a therapist and see if you can remember this happening, it could be PTSD if you have had traumatic events in childhood

You could have a physical and a doctor would be able to tell if you are as young as you sound.

i think you're assuming that these are rape symptoms and trying to make that "fit" for the symptoms. i think you are withdrawing and depressed/anxious for some reason. i don't know how old you are, but you need to talk to someone you trust about this so that you can get help. i know you don't feel like talking, but find someone that will understand to guide you. i would even start with a family doctor if that's possible. best wishes, and try not to be confused and scared. the world we live in causes depression in a lot of people, but there is help available if you want it.

Rape isn't something like a mental illness or disease, etc. where you have "symptoms." It sounds to me like youre experiencing symptoms of depression. I would say you are experiencing withdrawal from social settings and obviously have a low self-esteem or image concerns. Chances are you were not raped. I would go to your local mental health clinic and have them do an assessment on you.

.... i dont think it would effect you to much IF you dont remember what happened or if it even did. It could be that your focusing what to much on the thought of something like that happening. If it did happen to you and you can remember yes those could be the "symptoms" and when you do become sexually active you may just remember something from your past like that and just break down .... trust me. Oh and dont get put under hypnosis.... it doesn鈥檛 work.

You're depressed. Rape or not, you need help. Talking to a pysch helps a lot. Meds may help too.

Your not depressed nor have you been raped...You're looking for a problem to complain about...Stop thinking about it so much and think positive thoughts.
