Proving a rape that happened a long time ago?

Is there any possible was, especially medically and legally, that a person can prove a rape that heppend years ago?

I meant possible ways to prove....

legally, unless you have DNA proof, in most states if it's past 5 years you're out of luck
medically after a few years it's hard to prove. The only way to prove it with somethng like a video.

How long ago?Did you report it?Do/Did you know the perp?Do you know whether that person is alive or where they are?Any witnesses.Too vague a question to be answered Y or N!!

well the problem would be finding evidence. If you would have by chance tapes or audio or clothing with blood or semen then you have a chance. Then though there is the problem of legal areas after a amount of time the law may not prosicute on a crime. Unlike murder which doesnt carry this someone maybe tried for murder that happened 40 years ago today. Rape i believe is 10 years dont quote me on that but that is what i think it is.
Try to speak with a detective or school counselor if you are in school. Try your hardest and dont let any more time pass. No one should be a victim of this nor have to live with that. Just make sure that you are not doing this out of vengance now for some other reasons. Im not saying you are but i have heard some weird things in my line of work.

I highly doubt it...It was have to be proved right away..Unless you have DNA you really can't do much.

The police have investigators that do this sort of thing. Maybe the best thing to do is go to the police department and tell them your story. They will advise you what to do next.
