Medical Treatment after rape?

So, I went to the hospital as a victim of sexual assault. They provided me with an advocate who said that all my treatment would be covered under some organization. Since then, the hospital continues to send me bills for the treatment, and even though I have called them twice they havent stopped sending me bills. I was wondering if anyone knew the name of the organization that covers the costs of rape victims in Illinois...?

Victim's Assistance should be through the State's Attorney's office. I would start by calling your local State's Attorney and ask them about it.

You need to contact the rape counselor that you were referred to when you were treated. The counselor can give you the information you need.

A hospital doesn't care who pays the bills, as long as they get paid.
