Is this rape?

is it rape if the person u r in relation ship with, forced him self on u, but you are already in bed with him, u hav taken off yr own clothes, n when u asks for sex u just say no n show that u r umcomfortable with it, but do not leave the bed, and do not fight him off?

oops typo:
* when HE asks for sex

if you said no it is rape

Whatever you say.

gray area, dear, but NO should always mean NO and should always be respected and accepted as NO...but you do have a responsibility to yourself to enforce your decision of NO by appropriate action like getting out of bed or stopping him physically rather than submitting (when it is an acquaintance-rape and you are not in danger from physical violence)

This is the problem I have. You are in bed with him and you have taken your clothes off. THEN you say no? BS.

No it's not rape. You are a tease. If you were in bed and had your clothes ON and he ripped them off and forced himself on you then that would be rape.

ok well.. i didnt get that but..
IF U DONT WANT TO HAVE SEX, OR ARENT COMFORTABLE then its rape

Definitely. It's up to you what you do about this time, but you should consider whether this relationship is good for you or not or if you just need to have a serious talk with your partner. If he cares about you, he'll also respect your desire to have or not have sex. You always, always have the right to say no at any moment.

If you have to ask if it's rape, it probably is. If you said "NO" in all seriousness and he ignored you and continued, then it was rape. Also, note your words. You said "forced". You already know the answer to this question. You are obviously not in a comfortable, or loving relationship. Leave now and seek help before it worsens. It doesn't matter that you didn't fight. Were you afraid it would make matters worse for you? It doesn't matter that you didn't leave the bed. It doesn't matter if it was with a stranger, your boyfriend or your husband. Sex that occurs when one party is not willing IS rape. Period.

If you feel he violated a boundary then he did. Whether it is legally rape is another topic. He should not have gone against your wishes. Men often don't get it when a girl says no, the brain had stopped working when the erection started. It might be a sign that he has tendencies that could result in more physical harmful sexual encounters if he doesn't get his way in the future.

no it's not...it's fine!!! what's wrong with sex. it's good for you.

Whenever you or your partner says "no!" and the other person continues, it is assault.

i think maybe b cuz ifthe girl is 16- then its rape but since ur clothes were off voluntarily im not sure

When you say "No!", you mean "no" and that should ALWAYS be respected...no matter what you don't have on and no matter where you are.

maybe he thought u wanted to !!!!

I honestly think that would be a grey area. I've been raped. I did not take my clothes off for the guy until he put his hand around my neck (he tried to make it sexual). If you took them off voluntarily, the guy had to be a little confused when you decided to say no. There is a chance he wasn't taking you seriously...especially if you didn't fight him off. I fought like crazy when I didn't want to have sex. And I made out with the guy beforehand. I'm sorry if this isn't the answer you were looking for. Most women will agree that it WAS rape. I'm not so sure.

Yes! It is rape if you didn't consent to it. The fact that you said NO, even if you didn't move or put your clothes back on, means you didn't consent to it. That's a textbook definition.

There are definitely a lot of grey areas, which is why the definition is brought down to its simplest. It doesn't try to go into how or why you were in the situation or why you responded the way you did. It doesn't matter if you were a tease or you genuinely didn't think it was going to end up the way it did, or if you were too scared to do more. It doesn't matter how other people's experiences with rape are more or less traumatizing than your own - this isn't a competition. You said no, and that's all that matters.

I had a friend who was raped but because she knew the guy she kept trying to rationalize it and make it okay in her head even though she didn't stop crying for three days. Please get help if you think you need the extra support.
