Facts About Radon? |
I want to know some facts about radon. We talked about radon in health and I think we should test our basement because thats were I sleep, but my dad doesn't think that it's a problem. So what are some ways to get him to see that it is a problem. And that is causes caner. I need to find a way to get him to go out and buy a test. And are there any cheap ways to help lower the radon. So that if we have a high level. I can tell him what we can do to lower them in a cheep way. Thanks The truth is that radon is found in all areas of the country and the only way to find out is to test. The vast majority of homes that I fix for elevated radon levels are new homes! The reason may be that we have learned to build homes so well sealed that radon gas and other pollutants are being trapped inside. But even older homes must be tested to be sure. tricky, cause it isn't a problem, unless it is a problem. Your Dad may be right... The first question is what part of the country you are in. Many parts have no radon problem. If you are in other areas, it is almost guaranteed to show up at some level. You should be able to ask the County Health Department if it is a local problem. |
