How does one get rid of Radon ? What is the Cause of Radon ?

You get a hole drilled through the slab or basement floor, and a pipe is inserted. The edges are then sealed up. The pipe runs up through the roof. A fan is installed to suck the radon gas up the pipe and vent it into the air.

Radon is a naturally-occurring radioactive gas. It usually comes into houses through cracks in the basement floor, and becomes trapped (since most houses don't push fresh air through the central air ducts, the radon stays inside, and the levels increase.)
