I have undergone radiotherapy, 14 months ago. I am facing partially dry mouth. Can I go to gym?

There is no reason why you can't go to the gym but first always check with your doctor. You doctor can give you a wealth of information on physical fitness and also on products designed specifically for dry mouth.

There is one over the counter product called Oasis. It is found in the toothpaste/mouthwash section of most grocery stores and I know that Walmart also carries it. It does run about $4 more per bottle than regular mouthwash but it will help with dry mouth.
I am not sure but I also believe that they make toothpaste.

There is also a gum that helps with dry mouth. It is sold over the counter but I do know that some dentists get free samples so you might want to check with your dentist. You dentist may also have a few tips for you.

Getting back to the gym..although your treatment was 14 months ago your body still may be on the fragile side. If you can afford a personal trainer for 2-3 months, it would help a great deal. They would be able to monitor your progress and help rebuild your body slowly but effectively. When most people go to the gym their form is not good so they waste a good portion of their time there and expend unnecessary energy. A personal trainer will be able to have you get the best results with the least amount of work.

Good luck!

Yes, you can go. Do the exercise under the supervision. To get rid of side effects of radio therapy, start drinking Noni herbal fruit juice.

Consult the cancer doctor for going to the gym. For dry mouth, drink at least 4 litres of water daily.
