Would it be ok for me to visit my aunt, who is about to start radiotherapy...? |
on the first of October, when I've got the cold? I can understand you wanting to see your aunt, however I would suggest a phone call instead until you are healthy. While she goes through her radiation therapy her immune system might be compromised and she will be more susceptible to colds and flu. I am sure you would not want to give her a cold just before her treatments. Best ask her - she will have been advised as to the best conditions for her to be going in for the treatment. Ring her though - don't just turn up maybe not. she will be weak anyway so visit when you are better. You can visit your aunt, but can't goes in the radiotherapy. You may have to wait for her till she come out. Let me tell you this; Radiotherapy is the use of x-rays and similar rays (such as electrons) to treat disease. hi. if your aunt has already had a course of chemotherapy it would be best to stay away as this lowers the immune system and leaves the patient open to infection.but if she hasnt then ask her if it is ok to visit.i hope you are both well soon xx |
