My mum has breast cancer and going thro radiotherapy?

pls what other options have you found in treating cancer

how long ago did she find out she had breast cancer? there are 3 ways of treating breast cancer. one is radiation, two is kemo and the third is masectomy. with either kemo and radiation, she will loose her hair and become very weak. be there for her all you can.

first of all im really sorry to hear that there is chemotherapy

i just wanted to tell you that i feel for you and am very sry to hear that it will all work out

These are all the traditional treatments I know of. All may be applied one after the other, and some together, although sometimes not in this exact order.

1. Hormones to reduce lump size.
2. Chemotherapy to reduce lump size.
3. Masectomy to remove the lump and the tissue at risk.
4. Lympectomy to remove the lymp nodes under the arm which are next on the list for breast cancer when it spreads.
5. Radiotherapy to radiate the area.
6. Hormones to prevent the return/slow the regrowth of cancer cells.

All are pretty difficult to deal with for the patient and none come with a guarantee of success. Staying fit and eating healthily is essential because these treatment play havoc with the patient's body and immune system.

Sorry, but there is still no magic bullet for cancer. Despite what the headlines sometimes suggest, you just have to get down and dirty with it.

There are over 100 alternative cures for cancer. You can see some of them on this page, with links to others.
