Has anyone had Stereotactic Radiosurgery for a brain tumor? my friend is going through this. Did it help?

Stereotactic Radiosurgery is a very sucessful treatment for cancers in the brain bu also for other illnesses such as Arterio-Venous Malformations, Aneurisms, Trigeminal Neuralgia and others.

Treatment is well tolerated and patients often have very side effects.

Stereotactic brain surgery is a very precise procedure. The radiologists usually perform a CT scan or PET scan first in order to establish landmarks for the procedure. They they stabilize the head and neck in a halo-cast to prevent movement during the procedure.
