Why my heel hurts so much? |
I've been having a big pain in my left heel for almost two years and it's not improving. I went to the doctor and he made a radiography and he diagnosed plantar fascitis. He prescribed Celebrex but it didn't work. Everyday it hurts more and there are days that I have to drag my foot. I can't run, or jump and I feel like an 80 year old woman. I just don't know why it's been there for so long and it doesn't go away. Any solution or answer please? Thanks. I work at a physical therapy clinic and we see lots of patients with plantar fascitis. I'm in Louisiana where your doctor has to refer you to physical therapy with a prescription. If he is not taking anymore steps to help you, maybe you should have a second opinion. Physical therapy could be an option. Good luck! My dad had the same thing diagnosed. It isn't completely better but it really helps to strech your heel. He gets a towel, puts it around his foot, and then straightens his leg. Also, if you are near a curb, you can put your foot half way on and half way off and gently shift your weight to your heel. Hope this helps. |
