Itching after radiation therapy? |
My mom had a cancerous tumor removed in her leg, and received radiation therapy. Her treatments ended about 3 weeks ago, but yesterday she started itching horribly all over her body, not just the leg. Is this a normal reaction to the radiation? Should we be concerned? What can help it? Radiation doesn't cause itching all over the body. It could in a small area, which would indicate healing, but the itching you describe sounds much more severe and her doctor should be made aware of it. |
