What is the procedure for radiation therapy?

Im doing a rport part of it is on radiation and i dont know much about it. Here are some of things im curious about
How does the procedure work?
How long do you have to stay in the hospital?
Can you still work while in therapy?
Will you loose your hair?

well, here's some advice: it kind of depends on what you have to do: are you a hs student? then basic information will be enough. its impossible to answer your questions here on yahoo answers - im really sorry. otherwise i would be sitting here all night.
it really depends why the person is in the need of receiving a radiation therapy (what type of cancer, size, persons sex+age, ...). it also cannot be said how long an individual has to stay in the hospital (might not even be necessary, or even for weeks/month).
when receiving rad. ther., some people are able to work, others are not (depends on their well being).
you usually lose your hair when undergoing chemo-therapy, which sometimes is processed at the same time.
hint: go to your local hospital, they will be happy to supply you with extra information + guidance (intern, books, answering your questions).
if it is not necessary for you to be so detailed, you can find info online. eg wikipedia or google search. or go to the library asking for medical books on radiology or general medicine.

good luck on your report
