Do you know a cream for burning on skin after radiation therapy?

i did get radiation for a brain tumor and it doesnt look ok my skin looks like its burned my skin i want to know the best cream you know to take that burning off , i ve been using another one for dry skin and to protect my skin of the sun but it looks worst when its a sunny day .

i ve been using what the oncologist told me to use but they say the burning it doesnt take off they just recomend the cream that its going to looks better my skin. and what i really want its something to take that off and make it to look like before.

Try 100% aloe gel. It's great for burns.

There are some and I can't remember the name of them right now. Ask your oncologist or even visit a dermatologist.

I'm so sorry you are going through that. My mother had the exact same issue when she had breast cancer. Her dermatologist gave her a prescription for a cream that cleared her up right away. It's available through Rx only. I don't remember the name of it, but I will ask her and post you back. In the interim, ask your oncologist or dermatologist about it. It's a commonly used burn cream used for this and other burn issues. Good luck and if my Mom remembers the name of the cream, I will post back.

I was taught in school that you do not put over the counter creams on radiation burns. It just adds to it instead of relieving it. Too many additives in them. I don't know anything off hand to tell you to get. But, your oncologist could prescribe something for you to relieve the discomfort. If it is a lotion of some sort, it would probably have very few ingredients in it. Less is more. We were told to use water. Not much help I know, but, your doc would know how to help you. Best wishes.

Any skin moisturing cream will help but Lavender Oil or Aloe Vera gel are the best. If you use Aloe, use 100% gel as if you don't the carriers can make things worse. Also do not put anything containing coulors, perfumes, alcohols or preservatives on your skin if you have not finished your treatment as if you do the reaction will be worse.

When washing see the above and use something like Simple Soap or J+J

Honey, I'm so sorry you're going through this. Please ask your doctor to prescribe mimyx cream. It is super hydrating but you really need to stay out of the sun regardless. Take care.
