Why is it that after radiation therapy a person's hair colour/texture will change? |
Biology. It is after chemotherapy that a person's hair texture changes. Radiation my cause permanent loss of hair as it can kill the hair follicles, in the area radiated. After chemotherapy, the hair follicles start new, like a baby. My hair grew back thick, curly, and blonde at first. I got lots of compliments on my "highlights." Then my regular hair started to grow in. It can't change genetics. |
