Is the salary true for radiation therapists? |
i really want to do radiation therapy, but for an associates degree, is it really about 60,000 a year?! is their a catch or anything? i would like to know before switching over from respiratory therapy. The American Society of Radiologic Technologists just did a fairly large salary survey, which included Radiation Therapists. You can see how much money a Radiation Therapist earned, in your state, here: Possibly, but as a person who hires such people, why would I pay you $60K when I can teach someone what to do and pay them $30K? A degree doesnt guarantee a job placement, a fast learner and a good personality does. In MOST places, the technicians who do radiation therapy are unionized - that means that there is a contract that specifies a salary that applies to everyone in the area. Why don't you talk to a radiation therapist and ask what their salary is, or find out what the union is and ask them |
