Is there a correlation between skin cancer and exposure to ionizing radiation in WWII? I am talking about exposure to the radiation in Nagasaki approximately 2 - 3 weeks after the bomb was dropped. no, that radiation would likely promote skin cancers right away not this far out. this is likely sun damage on fair skin color, watch if it changes, then have it seen right away, good luck No, this is a benign skin lesion occurring in older people primarily. Age alone is to blame. I am in my later 40's I have those already. I just have it removed. It is something that mainly older people get. I had cancer though and apparently my cells like to divide to fast everywhere. |

You may be doing this for homework or something but even then...ya,... MRIs do not use ionizing radiation, but a magnetic field and RF pulses. So there is ZERO exposure to radiation involved. MRIs are used to image nearly every body part, from the head to the feet. ... Check out this website... ...Radiation is only dangerous on high scales.
