Rabies.....?

Can a human with rabies survive?

Only a small handful of people have survived without treatment, and all were left with severe brain damage... with the recent exception of a 15-year-old girl in 2004.

Death typically occurs about 2-10 days after the onset of symptoms, but the disease can incubate without symptoms in your body for a couple of weeks after initial infection.

Your best chance is to get treatment immediately after being bit by any animal whose rabies status is unknown.

No dear don't believe her,as rabies is invariably fatal.Once you get the disease, case fatality is 100%,but incubation period[time since you catch the disease & symptoms appear is 6 weeks to 6 month depending on factors I've mentioned & not 10 days which is the period in which rapid animal dies. Report It

Nope. And by the time you have symptoms, it's too late. That's why you have to get the shots immediately after being bitten by something that either has it, or couldn't be caught to find out.

only after about 10 shots to the stomach

I'm afraid to say NO.
They learnedus that rabies is invariably fatal i.e 100% case fatality if already got the disease, but not everyone who is bitten by rabid animal must develop rabies ,it depends on site of bite, wheather close to head & neck or not,no.of bites, wheather naked or wearing thick clothes, severity of bite.
