Rabies? help?

okay so ive been bitten by a stray cat two months ago. that was dec. 5, im in the Philippines and rabies is very uhh prevalent here. i just want to ask if the cat lives on after two weeks or yeah two months? does that mean the cat doesnt have rabies? cause i read somewhere that the cat can live up to 6 years even if it has rabies... :/ i went to the doctor yesterday and she told me that she cant give me shots anymore cause its too late. im scared pls help.

yes, the cat is still alive... my cousins kept it as a pet cause it was sweet lol...

Your doctor is right, you need to either quarentine the animal that bit you, or, start rabies exposure treatment. There are some helpful websites you can find with google. Here is one:

Have you seen the cat around since it bit you?

EDIT:
I have been looking online, and most of the sites I found say that rabies symptoms will show up between 2 and 8 weeks after exposure. If it has been 2 months, and the cat is alive, and you are not showing any symptoms, you should be fine.

Do your cousins keep the cat indoors only, or does it go outside still? If it goes outside, you should get it vaccinated for rabies since it is so common there. Good luck, I am happy the kitty found a home!!

are you scared of the Torah? this post may help... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/;_ylt=...
