Rabies ? Please don't laugh- I'm really worried? |
Ok, so I was outside collecting walnuts (long story- don't ask!) and I think I must have started to take a stash that belonged to this grumpy squirrel that had been watching me for a few minutes and as soon as I turned around, it came at me, run up my pants & shirt, bit me on the neck and then jumped off my shoulder and scampered off into the woods. Ok, I'm going to the doctor. I called my sister and she is coming right over to take me to the ER. It's probably nothing, at least I keep saying that, but like everyone said, it's more important to get it looked at just in case. Thanks for all the fast replies. I probably would have not gone and just waited it out till morning if I hadn't asked here. Thanks for making me go! Gotta go, my sister just pulled up. Later! Rodent/Squirrels rarely carry rabies, but you should go to the doctor as you should get a tetnus shot and antibiotics at the very least. Rabies is a virus and is deadly. It goes to the brain and kills from there. The closer the bite is to the brain the faster it can effect and kill you. Go to the ER. Go to the Doctor ASAP! That is the start of Rabies those are the first syptoms. I'm not going to give you a long answer just trust me and Go! RAbies can kill you! Get to the ER! YOU better go to the emergency room tonight never mess with those bastards! I would be concerned. Not because of your symptoms, they are from fear. The concern is that the squirrel even came near you. They usually run. I would go to the ER. I really think you should see a doctor. No you wont go insane, you could die from rabies though. THIS ONE TIME MY SISTER GOT BIT BY A MOOSE, NO REALLY SHE WAS CARVING HER INITIALS IN A TREE WITH A SHARPENED TOOTH BRUSH.............. MOOSE BITES ARE QUITE NASTY. Get to the ER asap! This is very serious! I think the best thing to do is to see a doctor, as long as I know if the squirrel get rabies, it will die in a few days, if it is still a live, I can tell you for sure that you are at risk of rabies. You should go to the hospital immediately! I don't know how long ago you were bitten but there is only a certain period of time in which you can get the preventative shots. Rabies is fatal and I'm sure saving your life is worth the money! go see a doctor I think most animal bites should be checked out. With that said, squirrels are not known for carrying rabies. you probaly do have it and if you starting to behave aggressive, cant or feel like yuor jaw is paralyzed and if you lose your appeitite you then do have it and oyu have to take it or youll die in about 2 weeks. but it is probaly something else i am not sure i tried helping I don't think so the only animals got rabies are the caneboros that eat meat like foxes and wolves. In other countries some dogs got a rabies but as you mentioned the squirrel well, squirrel eat only a nuts. Just clean the scrathes of antiseptic cream. |
