Besides rabies, what else can cause foaming at the mouth?

Besides rabies, what would cause a healthy child to foam at the mouth randomly?

The child is a 3 year old girl, no know allergies. The foaming of the mouth has happened on 3 different occasions. She does NOT have rabies. She is up to date with her shots. There isnt anything caught in her airways. When the foaming happens, it only last for about 2 minutes at the most, or until she drinks some water.

This is NOT my child, this is just a question. I just want answers and opinions related to the question, nothing else.

Gargling with dish soap

Fits or epilepsy.

The other poster had a point with epilepsy- that sounds more likely than rabies. (FYI- a human will not foam at the mouth when they have rabies). Either way, they should certainly bring this girl to a doctor right away.
