Rabies vaccination? |
5 dose shot for Rabies vaccine. but i forgot the last shot of vaccine its been yrs. since the last 4 shot. do I still need the last shot??? You could probably have a titre done to see if you are immune. ( A titre is a blood test that checks for immunity). it wont hurt..but u dont really need it.... I agree that you should have antibody titers drawn. The CDC considers a 1:5 (or greater) titer acceptable. The WHO considers 0.5 IU/mL or greater, acceptable. Your lucky you only had to get 5 shots.30 yrs ago I was in contact with a rapid dog and had to get 15 in my stomach and 4 boosters in the butt |
