How deep should the wound be in order to get rabies? |
i have 2 house cats at home(no anti rabies shots yets). if they lightly scrapped off my skin using their teeth, do i have rabies? what if they scratched me using their claws, do i have rabies? and when i was eating lunch and left the room, they ate my food and left saliva in my food. when i went back and continued eating and finished my meal thats the only time i noticed they did what they did. do i have rabies? and can i have anti-rabies shots even if i didnt have rabies in the first place, will that have any sideeffects? Why are you so worried about your cats having rabies? You most likely would know IF they did have it. {and they wouldn't have it long before they died} Shouldn't ask this question here, you should get to a hospital or w/e and immediately get shots. They cant hurt you and they will 100% prevent rabies. If they bite you and break the skin and they have rabies, so could you. Animals will need to be checked for rabies just to be sure. you probably wouldn't get rabies from a cat unless they got into a fight with an animal outside that had rabies. if it didn't draw blood you definitely don't have rabies. |
