Possible rabies infection? |
Hubby brought home a bat from work that had been flying around the shop for about an hour during the day. He found the bat under one of his hats and cought the bat in a cup and brought it home. We both not thinking hadled the bat without gloves. As far as we could tell no bites or saliva on our hads and we did wash afterwards. We released the bat back into the wild. Should we take precautions for rabies or just wait it out. I'm kinda nervous because the bat was out during the day. Wasn't aggressive or anything. I would have a doctor check at least one of you out. You are probably fine, but it is better to be safe than dead. |
