Does rabies have the same effects on a human?

When an animal has rabies it become more agressive,does that also happen to humans?

If a human gets Rabies they will suffer rather severely before eventually dying. If you have been in contact with a rabid animal, get checked out immediately.

Rabies virus infects the central nervous system, causing encephalopathy and ultimately death. Early symptoms of rabies in humans are nonspecific, consisting of fever, headache, and general malaise. As the disease progresses, neurological symptoms appear and may include insomnia, anxiety, confusion, slight or partial paralysis, excitation, hallucinations, agitation, hypersalivation, difficulty swallowing, and hydrophobia (fear of water). Death usually occurs within days of the onset of symptoms.

I had a patient in the hospital who had rabies one time.
He came in with a really high fever (105 degrees)
And after a few days or so he began getting tremors. But it was wierd though because only the part of his body that he was trying to use would shake. And if you said, "hold your left arm still" then his left arm would start to shake.
After a couple of weeks he went into a coma and eventually died.
We only found out it was rabies on the autopsy.

A rabid animal probably acts this way because of pain. Humans are treated with pain killing drugs, so their behavior is much more subdued.

I don't think think humans get aggressive likes animals but they do get agitated which is probably what an animal is feeling when it becomes aggresive
