About rabies?

i was bitten by my pet dog two or three years ago may be but i didn't take any vaccination then and just feel a little bit scary if that's going to affect me in the future though nothing has happened to me till date.
i want to know from you all how long does it take for rabies virus to have it's effect and the host to show the symptoms???? please help!!!

Rabies is a very unpredicatable but very debilitaing disease which affects the Central Nervous System, it can take anywher from one week to one year to develop following infection source. A peroid of 19 years has previously been reported, so it can take a very long time to develop. Best thing if you think you may have been exposed is to contact a doctor TODAY.

Symptoms would be foaming at the mouth, giddiness and rage wanting to bite people.

If the dog has rabies you'll most certainly be infected within 2 weeks! Your dog that bit you, most probably, doesn't have any rabies since to date you are still alright!
