My boyfriend got bit by a dog yesterday and it might have rabies... and I kissed him today. He said I could only get it if he bit me and he had it. What do you think? Cases of actual rabies in dogs is very rare now. If you are worried about you or your boyfriend contracting rabies call your local or the national poison control hotline. They will advise you based on protocol whether to get rabies shot or not. I might add they are very nice about it too.
I was bitten this summer and was advised to get the shots. Believe me you dont want them if you dont have to have them.
