Hi guys, I am very concern, because of my symptoms, that I may have HIV.
My recent exposure was went to the massage parlor and had a hand job and a massage with a massage oil. Then next day, I had felt the urge of urination and went to a doc and got cipro for it, that solved the problem. In addition, I had a gastro problem, 3 days from exposure, I had diarrhea and nausea. 2 weeks exactly, I got very sick, I had chills and fever, fatigue, pain in the back, sharp pain in the lymph node in the neck, armpit, and groin area. Than few weeks later I had small little red rash on my chest and back, lower back.
I still feel the lumps in my neck, when I press on my teeth and sometimes I get this weird lump type of feeling in the neck. I also get sharp dual pain on the groin and armpit area.
Did I just go through the ARS ?
My concern is that, I get these rash on my penis when I stroke it or if I am having sex, so I am concern that the massage parlor girl may of have had cuts and it may of have went into my broken skin perhaps ?
I still feel sick and its been 5 weeks since exposure, I have small red bumps, every where, sharp pain in the liver area, rib area, fatigue, sharp pitch type of pain.

3 Years ago, i had protected sex and unprotected oral with sex workers, and had so many symptoms, and was tested for HIV at 1,2,3,5 months all neg, at 12 months it was + and WB was absence...But still had all symptoms, until now, and my hand job exposure brought them all back.
Did I contract HIV ? Please help ?

3 years ago, I had sexual encounter with a escort, protected sex, and unprotected received oral sex. I felt sick , and continued to feel sick, for ever...
3 years ago, from that day, I had a test for all std at 3,5 months including HIV and they were neg. Had HIV 1 at 12 months Elisa was + but WB was Absence All strip.,HIV 2 neg at 12 months.
Ever since than I still felt sick until recently, where I had control of my body and I was feeling good until I had a hand job exposure.
As of right now, I have sever symptoms, sharp pain in the neck, armpit, groin, pelivc pain, fatigue, rash , pain around liver area, nausea, all ways feeling I am dizzy, headaches, leg pain, buttock pain, neck pain, feel I have a lump in neck.
My doc says he has no idea what is causing this...
In other words, I had all this 3 years ago from that sexual encounter, and I felt better and than I had the hand job and suddenly all symptoms came back.
Doc, I am scared, I promise I will ever do this again, I don't know what I was thinking.
I am so young to have all this problem, I am only 23 years old.

Thank you If I understand you correctly, your ELISA test was positive. If that is the case, then that means you do indeed, have HIV.
I urge you to consult with an infectious disease specialist as soon as possible. It sounds to me that you have been positive for some time and you may now be moving into full blown AIDS. Without treatment, the HIV virus can quickly overwhelm the immune system. If you have not been treated then your chances that you have developed AIDS are high. HIV is the virus that leads to AIDS.
The NAT test for HIV is the most accurate. You need to be retested for a FULL HIV panel.
Have you ever taken the triple cocktail? Your own doctor may not be trained in HIV management. Most people who have HIV have to see a doctor who has that specialized training and that is a doctor who specializes in infectious diseases. Consult one and talk about your options.
As for sex, you need to stop what you are doing. You are putting others at risk. If you have been sexually active since you received your positive ELISA, then you have some phone calls to make. You are required by law to notify these people of your status. Be advised that you can also face criminal charges for knowingly exposing others to HIV.
I'm not going to lecture you or say you are stupid and irresponsible. I think you already feel badly enough. Take care of the immediate problem and go from there. Good luck.

Look in your phone book under "physicians" and then look under "infectious disease". Either that or contact a local HIV clinic. Your county health department can refer you if needed. i'm so sorry you're going through this. i know how anxiety is of not knowing and freaking out hwne you get the symptoms. I hope everything works out. it does sound like HIV but you never know..it could be something else. you should get tested, i know it's hard but it's ultimately the only way to know ...start treatment..and make yourself feel better. I think it's possible, but unlikely that the girl at the massage parlor could've given it to you that way..did you notice any cuts on her hand??
i hope everything works out for you i am confused. did you test positive for hiv 1.i really doubt you caught it from a hand job.. Well first and foremost you did not get HIV from a hand job. She might have had bacteria or worse someone else's secretions on her hands from the last massage ( highly doubtful) Prodromal Stage is usually within 6 wks after exposure. But if you already have tested positive than I don't understand the worry. Have you been tested for
syphilis? Hepatitis? Are you possibly having a reaction to something that would make you break out? Kaposi's Sarcoma? Get checked for gonorrhea and chlmydia too. More than likely bacteria entered the urethra via hand job. Gastro issue was probably due to Cipro.
I am not sure what ARS is? Can you fill me in on that?
Did you test positive for HIV a few years ago? But the western Blot was not there? I would say that you need to be retested. You live a high risk life. You can test negative for a couple of years and still have the virus. If you are positive there are so many opportunistic diseases associated with HIV That means that is you have it you are more prone to wierd illnesses. Good God!!! Keep the damn thing in your pants!!!!! |
