Is this strep?

My throats hurts like bees stinging whenever i swallow unless its a milkshake or a cold creamy drink of some sort. I just now notcied this about 5 hours ago. And I don't have a fever. And I had my TONSILS REMOVED when I was 2. And I can barelly talk with out it hurting.

If anymore info is needed that is related to my Q. I will happily add them. And all you have to do is ask.

An i had my tonsil removed due to because i lived and was born in in Vegas and i couldn;t breath nor sleep as a tod.

Hi there. The wonderful thing about having your tonsils removed is that they can no longer harbor the streptucocus virus. However, your adnoids and other lymphatic tissues do. Now that being said, if your throat is red and with white spots you could have other viruses or just a common cold. It almost sounds like laryngitis if it hurts to talk. I recommend to gargle with warm salt water every 4 hours, and drink your orange juice. The salt water will dry out your tissues below the skin and allow the virus being harbored to "dry out" and die. The orange juice being acidic will help wash away the little bad guys. You'll be fine in 4 or 5 days. If you get a fever, you need to go to the hospital as it could be a bacterial infection of sorts.

Swollen glands? A simple blood test will tell. Gargle with salt.

It sounds like it could be, even without a fever. If you don't feel better after a day or so, go to the doctor. The two worst sore throats I have ever had were strep throat and mono.
