My sister says something is wrong with her ears.....? |
k so she says that her right ear started to hurt...like when she touched it or something it felt like pressure in her ear or something so then after a few days it began to go away but it went to her left ear...she says its like theres something blocking in her ear....(maybe earwax? or shampoo that got into her ear?) its been about 5 days since her right ear began to hurt. so like in the first few days if she tried to clean her ear with the q-tips...it was really hard because she said when she put one into her ear it would hurt or something....maybe it could be because of the fever she had...her jaw also started to hurt....(maybe that was because she needed her retainers n her teeth were starting to move?) but she said that it could be nothing....but iduno im just checkin if anyone knows whats wrong...feel free to ask any questions...she says that now it feels like theres like something in her ear and she doesnt hear as clearly as the other ear....wich is fine.. oh n she says that when she blows her ears its like something is comin out but then when she regains her breath its like everything goes back in or something like in bubbles or whatever.. Tell her not to hold her nose and blow like that. It's not good for her ears at all! She can cause damage to her ear drum. It sounds like she has otitis media (inner ear infection). She may have "swimmers ear" if she's been swimming recently. She needs to see a doctor for treatment. For now, some Tylenol may make her feel a little better. she probably suffers from an otitis, she has to go to the doctor to get antibiotic or ear drops inside your ear there is a horseshoe shaped tube. often after a cold and sometimes allergies fluid will get stuck in this tube. the doctor will check to be sure but it happens after a fever or cold... he will probably give you clairenex. it is also now available over the counter and it not to expensive. it works very well. i have had similar problems after a flu. |

Have you tried giving him a decongestant....Mucinex D works really well. But seriously you should really consider taking him to the doctor........you don't want it to get worse. This may be ... You have an infection in the ear which needs treatment (antibiotics). DO NOT use the ear drops, you could make the infection worse! Tell your Mom you need to see the doctor very soon. PLEASE DO ... If you are on antibiotics it could be possible... but there are other reasons that you could develop thrush... you need to see and doc and get whatever it is treated asap. good luck.. ...usually the back of the throat - if you open your mouth and go directly in until you can't go any more. by your tonsils or just past the uvula which hangs down in the middle.
