Do I have oral thrush?

I have a white film/spots/patches on my tonsils, uvula, and roof of my mouth. I do not have a fever, and they do not hurt, but they are mildly uncomfortable when I swallow [it feels like i'm swallowing lumps or something is stuck in my throat.] I was able to scrape some of the spots off with a q-tip and when I did so they left really faint red spots underneath and felt irritated. It looked like I was picking off a blister, almost, leaving a little ring around the edge. I have had a runny nose the past few days and thought it was because of that at first, but now I'm beginning to wonder if being sick caused me to get thrush.

If you are on antibiotics it could be possible... but there are other reasons that you could develop thrush... you need to see and doc and get whatever it is treated asap. good luck..

sounds like it. I had it while taking massive antibiotics that wiped out my good bacteria. See your doctor and start eating yogart...find one you like. Your doc will most likely prescribe a mouthwash.

By the way ...Thrush is actually an oral yeast infection.
