Ive been having the periorbital edema?

abt 3 days ago i used a new eye make-up the next i fell asleep and forgot to complete remove it (just washed my face). the day after i woke up having puffy eyes! thinking that i probably have an allergy i took diphenhydramine. but the swelling didnt go up to now.
am female 26 yr old single, nulligravid (no history of pregnancy whatsoever) ive been previously diagnosed w acute pyelonephritis but the only manifestation i had 2 yrs ago was fever and flank pain. a yr ago i was pre hypertensive but i just had to lose wgt that i did in 4months. no more hypertension for a yr now. i have allergic rhinitis occassionally that resolves when i take nasonex. i dont have problems w my bowel and urinating. just this disturbing swollen eyes.
pls help. the above mentioned previous i just want to mention that i thought might help or of maybe importance coz i remember my doctor asking previous illness.
thank you so much.... answers are appreciated.

You had worn eye make up after which you developed this edema. Though you had some problems in the past, you have a sensitive body as indicated by allergic rhinitis. I think it may take some time to disappear but it is allergic edema only, still if you consult your doctor proly you will feel better. He/she may like to prescribe some steroids as well.
Good luck!

It depends on when you last took steroids. Steroids you took most proly already are consumed. Secondly, if you have been taking frequently, your own adrenals are not making enough as they are suppressed. So I feel you will need those, but after doctor's advice. I hope it helps. Good luck! Report It
