Is Pulmonary Fibrosis Contagious? |
Hi, I would like to know if Pulmonary Fibrosis is Contagious? if so, how is it transmitted? - Thanks No it is not contagious. Little is known about the mechanism of the disease, but there does seem to be a genetic component and some sort of trigger - either environmental, lung injury, etc. The body actually attacks itself (autoimmune disorder) and destroys its own lung tissue.
