When was pulmonary embolism; (a vascular disease), discovered? |
i mean, at what year and how did the people of that time deal with it, were there any medicine or any supply that may had helped the people of this time? pulmonary embolism is not a disease it is an acute condition where there is a sudden blockage in the vascular system in the lungs. If not caught early ( we are talking seconds to minutes kind of deal) usually that is the blockage will eventually cause respiratory arrest and then cardiac death....... the embolism is more often than not a blood clot... patients usually present with acute shortnes of breath and also some complain of chest pain they go downhill very fast. It is treated in a hospital setting with tnk a clot busting drug given by IV... not sure when it was discovered but I ncant imagine many people survived way back when because it kills you so fast try looking the info up on the mayo clinic or cleveland clinic website..... |
