Besides physical therapy, what can be done for a "frozen" shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)? |
Any help is greatly appreciated....my Mom (64) is going through this and could use some advice. She's going to start physical therapy, but is there any specific pain meds that might help? Alternative/holistic therapy? Thanks! The other option is manipulation of the shoulder under general anaesthetic to break down the adhesions which have formed (obviously this would be far too painful to do on a conscious patient). However, this tends to be a last resort if the physiotherapy doesn't work. She should use Ibuprofen or naproxen in prescription strength dosages about 3 times a day and she should ice the shoulder for 20 minutes 3 times a day. I started swimming and healed myself. |
