Physical therapy, what to do, detail included?

I broke my leg in Dec. '06, I then spent 7 months in a cast, not normal but I only broke my tib. and not the fib., and I had to go through surgery anyway (woowhoo) now I am well and walking though my leg is weak and not fully healed, My doctor has recommended physical therapy thoug my insurance has since run out and I cannot afford to go to a physical therapist, MY Question, are there any exercises/stretches i can do to help regain the strength in my leg, any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Your best guess may be to call a physical therapist center and ask for at-home exercises.

Your best bet would be to go to at least a PT evaluation and pay out of pocket for one or two visits...that way a program can be tailored for you specifically. The exercises will depend on your specific deficits.

Your results will not be ideal without PT, but at least a home exercise program is better than nothing.
