May a physical therapy provider bill for both (1) evaluation, and (2) procedure for the same session? |
For a single session (initial) of 45 minutes, can they bill for (1) Physical Therapy Evaluation and (2) Therapeutic Procedure? Is this not double-billing? not if they put a modifier on your bill....in other words yes they can. If you received any therapy during the session, it's not double-billing. If the Physical Therapist does an Evaluation and a Procedure during the same visit, both are billed. Are you trying to get something for nothing? Or, are you being charged for something that didn't happen? |
