Low potasium, phosphorus and protein diet? |
i would like to know which foods are low on potassium, phosphorus and protein. please cite your sources or make a list on each one (one low potassium, one low phosphorus, etc.) Sounds like the diet of a person with kidney problems. I'm not a doctor, but my mom's a dialysis nurse and my dad is a diabetic who has to watch his diet for the sake of his kidneys, among other things. He often visits http://www.nutritiondata.com/ to check if the foods he wants to eat are safe for him. So you are planning on gaining weight then? I dont know why you would want a low protein diet. Protein is used like fuel for your body. The other choice is carbs, and they ADD weight, not help take it off. Careful on dropping your potassium intake too low. Electrolyte embalances can be very dangerous. |
