Vitamins are not FDA regulated, so nobody ever checks them to see what's actually in them.
Recent studies have proven that most vitamin companies are lying about what they put in their products.
The best way to get vitamins that you need is through food sources.
Talk to a nutritionist about what are the right foods for you to eat and how much, what is the right weight for you at your age and height, how much exercise you should do and how often.
At 12 years old, you need good vitamins (good food) in order to grow properly. This is a critical time in your growth, it will determine how your body functions for the rest of your life.
Don't do fad diets or radical things to your body.
Talk to a professional.
Good luck

A multivitamin is only intended to be a supplement for a good diet and not a replacement for a good diet. It is almost impossible for a multivitamin to contain everything you need.

For example, our bodies need various enzymes (such as chlorophyll) and various antioxidants (such as bioflavonoids) for optimum health and you can get these from fruit and vegetables and they are not usually included in multivitamins.

Also we need minute amounts of some trace minerals that are not usually included in multivitamins.

The amounts of each component in a multivitamin is usually less than the recommended daily intake. For example the calcium content in your multivitamin is 162 mg and the recommended daily intake is about 800 mg for adults or even 1,000 mg and for growing kids even more.

So basically you cannot rely on multivitamins alone to get all the nutrients you need and you must also rely on a healthy diet.
