Can cortisol cure phobias? |
I am having a really difficult time at the moment and I am struggling to get help I have two major phobias which are driving me and everyone around me crazy. The first phobia I have is of getting leg, foot and toe cramps the second is I'm agorophobic. Will cortisol help me ? I read in an article that it can help eliminate phobias and I've totally had it with mine it's been going on for way too long now. I've tried councellors, hypnotherapy,EFT,CBT,acupuncture, and am on anti-depressants due to my high anxiety and I'm starting to get depressed because these phobias are keeping me trapped. Anyone have any suggestions it would be really helpful. Taking cortisol/cortisone will cause weight gain, osteoporosis (brittle bones), diabetes, moon facies (big round face), thin skin, acne..... If I were you, I would be much more afraid of these side effects than of toe cramps. Get some more therapy, or maybe antianxiety medicine would have a better side effect profile. When You're feeling a phobia coming on just breath and look around at the world and stop thinking so silly. |
