Is there a way to cure phobias? |
my friend has phobias of ridiculous things but they scare her to death. she is freaked out and scared almost everyday and has panic attacks triggered by the phobias about every week. Is there a way to help her not be scared of these thing and get over her phobias? Phobias are actually relatively easy to cure with a program of systematic desensitization where the object of the fear is introduced very gradually over time and the person engages in conscious relaxation techniques during the process. Find a therapist who specializes in phobias and they can be very helpful. Watch "Monk" he has so many,she'll feel like she can conquer the world after watching about two episodes.She will think hers aren't that bad and want to conquer them. Phobias are exaggerated anxiety. Anxiety is fear. Fear stems from fault brain chemicals. Brain chemicals are build from proteins. Typical diets not only lack enough proteins, but include artificial chemicals and sweeteners that break down brain chemicals. |

I can't offer you much advice, but I can make you feel more normal. I've got a cousin who used to (and probably still does) get physically sick if he saw someone with any sort of infirmi... Allergies mean you are in close contact to the animal to be able to inhale its scent or dander. Phobias are unreasonable fears. I do not think a reasonable fear of a live animal with sharp teet... My oldest daughter is afraid of anything in a costume. Those mascot type costumes, like chuck e. cheese. Halloween costumes she's not afraid of but the other ones she is.
