Why do manufacturers put pesticides in our soaps,toothpaste & cosmetics when they know it may harm out health? |
You may have heard of it, its a chemical called Triclosan and its found in most liquid soaps, anti-bacterial soaps, deoderants, toothpaste and even cosmetics. However research has shown that this stuff harms human cells, and destroys good bugs as well as the bad and causes anti-biotic resistant bugs to thrive. ANother finding is that it produces a cancer-causing carcinogin called dioxin to be released when this chemical reacts with UV light and water. Go natural! Make your own soap or buy organic soap. There are many plants in nature that native cultures used to use in the past to clean themselves. It's also being found in surface water I think... I generally look for products that don't have triclosan, and there are a surprising amount of products without it. I tend to use antibacterial hand sanitizer which is ethanol based (alcohol) which does the same thing, kills good and bad bacteria... |
