Pesticide,,,fertilizer,,,on swimming pool water,,,,effect on health?>?

IM planing to built a swimming pool near a rice field,,and getting water from a deep well 20 feet deep,,

i expect that the water is full of pesticide and fertilizer residue
from the rice field,,

have not tested the water yet,,but people around use the water for bathing, and some times drinking, have not seen a short term reaction yet(10 years observation),,will drain the water
once a week to water the rice field,,,

how safe is the water on swimmers health??

This is an incredibly difficult question to answer without knowing more. Not to make it too confusing, but soil permeability, soil type, pesticide use, pesticide fate and transport and many other factors can affect whether the pesticide and fertilizers make it into the groundwater. If they make it to the groundwater, depending on what of many many pollutants they may be, you may or may not have problems with contact.

If you are willing to pay the money for a pool, you could probably find out if your local or state government has done any groundwater testing, or you could get some tests done yourself. I've had people ask me "how's the water" so many times, and it is SUCH a hard question to answer.

If you live in California, feel free to contact me through answers, I can probably help you out. Otherwise, good luck!

it should be safe as long as they dont drink it,,

surf the net ther are a lot of topic about them,,
