How is Bordatella pertussis transmitted in humans? |
We're studing this in microbiology, but for some reason my book does not address the transmission of this organism. Whooping cough (Bordatella pertussis) is addressed in Wiki. It is transmitted as similar as a cold would be. When someone who has whooping cough, coughs....they grab a door handle..that handle then contains the bacteria. It is spread mostly through mucus, like sneezing and coughing. My son has it right now. |
