Im getting my DTP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis) vaccine soon, does anyone know how much it will hurt? The more you worry about it, the more it /is/ going to hurt. Try not to focus on it and relax the muscle where they are vaccinating you and it will hurt way less. It really isn't that bad, plus it's over in a couple of seconds. You'll be fine. =) What, the bill? Not too bad...but your arm might ache for a while after you get the shot. It doesn't hurt that much, you'll just pass out. lol Pain is relative, if you ever sewed on a button and got hit by the needle its a little less than that cause your fingers hurt more than your whole arm. Not at all. A little stick is all. Nothing to worry about. When I was little I use to worry about shots and hated them!! But I have been stuck so many times, there is really nothing to it. Don't worry!!! It is normal for your arm to feel sore for a day or so after getting the tetanus shot. This is a normal side effect of getting the injection (although when I got it, my arm was sore for maybe a few minutes). You will feel a "pinch" which will last less than a second. The three diseases the vaccine will prevent would make you very sick for a long time and could even be life threatening. It does not hurt just a little prick and its all over. |
