Why does the NHS want my 4 year old to have MMR Tetanus Polio Pertussis and Diphtheria jabs on the same day? because its' cheapeer of course! Read the evidence, then decide what to give when Its only 2 jabs Some of these are in drop form by mouth.' That's pretty normal. My boy just had the same jabs - they do one in each arm at the same time (2 nurses). So you don't have to go back for multiple trips. Have the nurses give them at the same time, its less traumatic. These shots used to be the kindergarten boosters but changed them to 4 yr boosters after noticing a fear trend starting, associating shots with starting school made children fearful of attending. Children are exposed to over 10,000 different germs a day. Another four isn't going to make a difference. It is only 2 injections, and these really are important vaccinations to get. And once your child has had these 2 injections, he/she won't need those two particular ones again until he/she is 13-15 years old. I highly recommend, for the health of your child, that you allow the injections to be given. Just hold your child snuggly while they administer the shots, and everything will be fine. Because it's only actually two injections. The MMR is one, then DTP (diptheria, tetanus, pertussis) is the second. The polio vaccine is given as an oral drop. Because it saves them money!! Do NOT get vaccinated. |
