Is personality disorders a serious problem?? |
one of my friends did an online test on personality disorders and it turned out to be positive, now he is **** tensed abt it... is there any way u can solve this prob without going to a councellor? it can be a serious matter ,so its better u consult with a professional person, coz if u solve this problem without consultation then it will definetly lead to something very bad,so plz visit a doctor or someone educated as soon as possible n dont do anythin urself. yes it is a serious problem and they should contact a doctor right away Tell your friend not to believe everything he finds online. He should go to a professional to be diagnosed if he really thinks that he has a personality disorder. No he needs to see a therapist. Be careful with these on-line tests on personality disorders they are not that accurate because the computer can not really summarize your character or personality. I would tell him to take it easy it may not be what it seems and yes do check with a therapist who can accurately judge whats going on. it can be a serious problem, but it's not always a *huge* deal. most people have some symptoms of personality disorders at some point in their lives, and most people are absolutely fine. also, online tests can't accurately diagnose a problem so i wouldn't put too much weight on that. if your friend feels like he does have a problem and wants to try to resolve it, then by all means he should seek out help; but unless his behavior is bothering him or others in his life, it's not such a big deal |
